HOUSTON, TEXAS, January 29, 2021 – The principals of Adell, Harriman & Carpenter, Houston-based independent, fee-only investment managers, have named Scot W. Johnson as the firm’s fifth principal. He joins the firm’s management team as AHC strategically eyes the future.
“After an exhaustive candidate search, Scot came on board in the latter part of 2019,” says AHC managing principal Leia Carpenter. “His extensive years of portfolio management experience and methodical approach enabled him to quickly take a leadership role in our investment committee. Truthfully, in every aspect his contribution to our business success in the challenging environment of 2020 has been immeasurable.”
Johnson joined AHC as a portfolio manager and was named Chief Investment Officer in 2020. His areas of focus include investment research, portfolio construction, client service and business development and he currently represents AHC as a member of the Fidelity G2 Leadership Institute. He earned both a bachelor’s degree in economics and an MBA in finance from Vanderbilt University and holds the globally-recognized Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation. Scot is a native Houstonian and graduated from The Kinkaid School.
