Biography

As General Counsel, Cynthia is responsible for adopting, implementing, and administering policies, regulatory compliance, and risk management. She delivers sound, business-focused counsel to ensure best practices in adherence with securities laws and regulations. In addition, Cynthia assists clients regarding estate planning matters helping navigate their unique planning needs and ensuring their strategies are aligned with their overall financial goals. A fourth-generation Native Houstonian, she is committed to building lasting relationships with colleagues, clients, and collaborators, providing exceptional service, strategic negotiation, and delivering optimal results.

Cynthia brings vast experience across financial services, compliance, and real estate. Before joining AHC, she served in compliance and in-house counsel roles at Pioneer Bank & Trust, Beth Wolff Realtors, and United Title of Louisiana, Inc.

A respected community leader, Cynthia is active in educational, cultural and community development initiatives. She is a distinguished alumni of the Center for Houston’s Future Business and Civic Leadership Forum and helps to address issues impacting the long-term growth and success of the Greater Houston Area. Cynthia has served as a trusted advisor and supported numerous non-profit organizations, including VICTORY Houston, Women’s Fund for Health, Education & Resiliency, Houston Symphony League, Houston Ballet Guild and Mission of Yahweh, to name a few.

In recognition for her vast professional accomplishments and community impact, Cynthia was honored as a “2025 Breakthrough Woman” by the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce. She has received numerous other awards and recognitions throughout her career including “City’s Best Lawyers” by SB Magazine.

Cynthia graduated from the A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University and earned her law degree from Louisiana State University Law School.

Outside of work, Cynthia enjoys outdoor activities – hiking, skiing, golf, and pickleball, as well as spending time with family and friends.
